Geotab’s video telematics products and integrations enable fleets to choose the right solution for the specific legislation in each region they operate in, as well as the requirements of work councils or unions. Last-mile fleets in urban environments frequently operate in low- light conditions with fast-moving pedestrians. In the event of an accident, they require video footage that is admissible and effective in court. The GO Focus family provides this assurance with the following standards for its road-facing cameras: • 1080p, Full HD Resolution, HDR (for PRO only).
• Frame rates of 30 frames per second, crucial for incident reconstruction, and to capture every little detail. • The 940nm IR illuminator is invisible to the human eye, preventing any distracting red glow for the driver. • Compression codecs H.264 and H.265, which reduce data storage and address GDPR data minimisation requirements. • 142° field of view provides a wider context for incident reconstruction. • AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest, to keep your data protected. MyGeotab Audit Logging — High-Level Overview What it does: MyGeotab’s audit logging tracks who accessed what and when in the fleet management platform. It creates a record of user activities for compliance, security, and accountability purposes. Current capabilities: • Add-in access: Logs when users open or install third-party tools and integrations • Event tracking : Records who accessed specific data like live vehicle streams or video clips, along with timestamps and user identity • Data queries: Supports investigation of specific incidents (e.g. “Who viewed this vehicle’s data on this date?”)
