Geotab aims to reduce the consumption of resources through a waste management strategy that promotes waste minimisation at the source, reuse, recovery and recycling across both internal operations and externally. In 2025, our average diversion rate at our Oakville office saw a slight decrease to 85%, compared to 86.5% in 2024. This trend reflects the ongoing complexity of maintaining high diversion rates as our facilities return to full capacity. Despite this shift in diversion rate, we managed business growth responsibly. In 2025, our global office attendance grew by 9.5% year-over-year, yet our total waste generation grew by only 7.8%. This indicates that our minimisation efforts are effectively slowing the rate of waste generation even as our workforce grows. To drive progress toward our goal of a 90% diversion rate at our headquarters, we continue to manage over 10 distinct waste streams— including compost, battery recycling, and cardboard. We also maintain a sustainable kitchen equipped with reusable utensils and plates to eliminate reliance on single-use items. Education remains a critical pillar of our strategy; we provide clear, accessible signage and mandatory waste diversion training for every new employee, empowering our workforce to actively contribute to our circular economy goals from their very first day.
