Energy management Geotab aims to reduce energy consumption by raising awareness on our energy use and making it everyone’s responsibility to become energy efficient throughout our organisation. We collect, report, analyse, and break down energy use data at our facilities to find solutions to reduce energy consumption and support renewable energy. Renewable Sourcing Geotab’s procurement of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) has remained consistent year-over-year; however, our total energy consumption fluctuated due to operational shifts. In 2024, consumption decreased due to temporary facility transitions and office closures. In 2025, consumption increased as we expanded our physical footprint to support business growth. To achieve our goal of powering all facilities with 100% renewable energy by 2030, we are evaluating expanded procurement strategies. As we scale, we remain committed to increasing our renewable energy coverage and enhancing our low-carbon energy mix to align with our long-term climate targets.

Partnering for progress: Renewable energy in our value chain To reduce our operational carbon footprint, Geotab strategically partners with data centre providers who are leaders in renewable energy adoption. By building our services on this clean infrastructure, we ensure our operations are powered by industry-leading sustainable technology. This alignment with providers' ambitious clean energy goals makes them valuable strategic partners in helping us reduce our own operational carbon footprint and advance our transition to clean electricity.

Enhancing office energy use A new smart office lighting system was installed at our Madrid office with intelligent controls, timers and sensors to automatically adjust lighting levels based on occupancy and natural light, significantly reducing energy consumption.
