Industry insights How long do electric vehicle batteries last?

To provide guidance for EV operators and build fleet confidence in EV technology, Geotab conducted several extensive studies on EV battery degradation using real-world vehicle data, analysing degradation rates and conditions that influence battery degradation rates. An updated analysis of over 22,700 EVs confirmed that overall, modern EV batteries are robust and built to last well beyond a typical vehicle’s service life.
